NRS 388A.367 Notification
September 20th, 2019
Dear Quest Families,
On the Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF), a five-star classification system for public schools, Quest was able to maintain it star rankings from the previous year. Quest has been identified as a 3-star for middle school and a 2-star for elementary school. Since the 2016 report card, our middle school score increased by 19 points and our elementary school score increased by 23 points.
The NSPF measures academic performance of Nevada public schools. Among these measures are academic proficiency and growth on state assessments, English Language proficiency for students for our English as Second Learners (ESL) learners, and chronic absenteeism.
We have high expectations for student achievement and growth and are working to improve every students ‘performance. We are using the results of our report card to guide our efforts this year and continue implementing the research-based best practices we launched in the last two school years and were responsible for the remarkable growth we have made so far. As we continue to strive to move to the next star ranking, our goal is for both campuses to demonstrate exponential growth and improve our rating scores this year and beyond.
As always, we encourage your involvement at Quest and provide many opportunities for parent input into the academic and social aspects of our school. We value your input and support as we recognize that Quest is a school of choice, and we work diligently to ensure it is your best choice. Your student also has the right to attend a zoned school.* As parents, you are your child’s first teacher. Together we support each other as we work toward common goals of preparing our students for their future.
If you have any questions regarding the information in this letter or your child’s progress, please contact either myself or any member of the school’s administration.
Respectfully,
*Zoned schools: Reed Elementary (2-star school), Parson Elementary (2-star school)
